So I had a marching band competition yesterday. I had to get up at effin' five in the morning and spend two hours to drive to Iowa. On a bus. With Andrew Riley singing the whole way. It was actually pretty fun....until we got outside. It was like 40 degrees out, we're wearing our uniforms that don't include gloves and everyones hands are so cold that we're shoving them up our jackets in an attempt to keep them warm. And then it started to fucking SNOW. Seriously. There was white stuff falling from the sky, and we're huddeled together like penguins. And after all that, we only got third place in the parade. The drill was even crazier. There was a cat waking through us as we were marching. Only in Iowa. The only good thing about that state had to offer was that there was no wind.
